The Seagulls have a date against Fulham FC at the Falmer Stadium on August 16 β a game Lamptey will look to be part of. Lamptey, who missed the latter stages of last season through injury, has fully recovered and was involved in a couple of friendlies with Brighton during preparations.
The 24-year-old is hoping for an injury-free campaign as Fabian Hurzeler’s team eye another good run in the Premier League.
“Pre-season done. God’s timing. Ready to go,” posted the former Chelsea defender on Instagram.

The England-born Ghanaian was handed a new one-year deal at the end of the last season following his splendid performances for the club despite his injury worries.
Lamptey made fifteen Premier League appearances last season, scoring two goals and adding two assists. He joined Brighton and Hove Albion in 2020 from Chelsea and became an instant hit and a fan-favourite.
