Malawian centre-forward Temwa Chawinga scored once to help Kansas City Current beat Racing Louisville FC 4-2 on Saturday in the United States.
The striker's goal at CPKC Stadium cemented Current's leadership of the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL).
More remarkably, the goal sent Chawinga on top of the league's leading scorers' chart with eight goals.
Current media reports that they went ahead inside the opening minute courtesy of a Louisville's own goal, forced by forward Michelle Cooper's cross.
Provider turned scorer 12 minutes later when Cooper netted the visitors' second goal.
Six minutes later, striker Bia Zaneratto cushioned the Current's lead with a third goal to wrap up the first half.
However, the game was not going to end without Temwa Chawinga adding her name to the scoresheet to seal the victory for the NWSL pacesetters.
The Malawian's goal came at the right time, just after the hosts had scored twice.
