Thabo Nodada and Haashim Domingo join Betway Premiership side

Newly promoted Betway Premiership side Durban City FC has announced the signing of several players, including midfielders Thabo Nodada and Haashim Domingo.

Both players arrive in Durban on Wednesday from Cape Town City, who was relegated to the Motsepe Foundation Championship last season in the PSL Promotional/Relegation Playoffs.

Nodada, a 30-year-old midfielder who had been with Cape Town City since 2015, has been training with Durban City for some time. The club officially welcomed him, saying, “Welcome to our engine room, Thabo Nodada. It’s great to have you in our city, Thabo.”

Domingo reunites with Durban City coach Gavin Hunt, as they previously worked together at Bidvest Wits. The former Mamelodi Sundowns player had a brief stint in Morocco before joining Cape Town City last season. Durban City unveiled Domingo on Wednesday, a fresh start for him. “A true craftsman of the game.”

In addition to Nodada and Domingo, Durban City has bolstered its squad with other key signings: Jean Lwamba, a striker from Tafic FC in Botswana. They also welcomed former Stellenbosch FC defensive duo Liam De Kock and Kyle Jurgens.

Fredrick Asare: A Ghanaian international goalkeeper. Trevor Mokwena (Upington City), Brooklyn Poggenpoel (SuperSport United), and veteran goalkeeper Darren Keet (Cape Town City).
