“This renewal is my motivation to work harder” – Laban Tibita commits future to URA FC until 2027

URA Football Club is delighted to confirm that talented midfielder Laban Tibita has extended his stay at the club for an additional two years, keeping him at the heart of the Tax Collectors’ midfield until June 2027.

The 23-year-old initially joined URA FC from Busoga United in August 2023, and in just two seasons, he has become one of the club’s most influential playmakers. With 10 assists and 7 goals to his name, Tibita has consistently delivered moments of brilliance across both league and cup competitions.

Moments after signing the new deal, Tibita couldn’t hide his joy as he thanked the club for the faith shown in him:

“I’m really happy to extend my stay at URA FC. I feel at home here and I’m thankful to the management, coaches, and my teammates for believing in me again. This renewal is another motivation for me to work harder, help the team win trophies, and improve on my own numbers in the next two years.”

Known for his technical intelligence, vision, and composure, Tibita has not only become a fan favourite but also a vital component of Alex Isabirye’s midfield blueprint. His versatility in various attacking midfield roles has provided the technical bench with key tactical options throughout the campaign.

URA FC CEO Allan Munaaba also welcomed the contract extension, emphasizing the club’s long-term belief in Tibita’s talent:
