Al Ahly squad for CAF Champions League game against Aigle Noir

Danish coach Jess Thorup has officially announced his first Al Ahly squad since taking charge of the Egyptian giants, ahead of their upcoming CAF Champions League clash against Eagle Noir of Burundi.

Al Ahly are set to travel to Burundi to face Eagle Noir in the first leg of the Round of 32, scheduled for Saturday at 4:00 PM Cairo time (1:00 PM GMT). The return leg will be played in Cairo later this month.

The Red Devils will depart for Burundi on Thursday morning, as Thorup and his coaching staff look to kick off their African campaign.

The traveling list sees the return of left-back Mohamed Shokry, while two youngsters, Ahmed Abdeen and Mohamed Abdallah, have also earned places in the squad.

The full squad of Al Ahly for the trip to Burundi is as follows:

Goalkeepers:
Mohamed El Shenawy, Mostafa Shobeir, Mohamed Seha

Defenders:
Yassin Marei, Omar Kamal, Ahmed Ramadan Beckham, Yasser Ibrahim, Mostafa El-Ash, Mohamed Shokry, Mohamed Hany, Ahmed Abdeen.

Midfielders:
Mohamed Ali Ben Romdhane, Marwan Attia, Mohamed Magdy “Afsha”, Aliou Dieng, Ahmed Nabil “Koka”.
