The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially adjusted the kick-off time for the first leg of the CAF Champions League quarter-final between AS FAR and Pyramids FC due to Iftar timings during the holy month of Ramadan.
The first leg will now be played on Friday, March 13, at 9:00 PM local time in Morocco and GMT (11:00 PM Cairo time). The encounter will take place at the Olympic Stadium in Rabat and will be held behind closed doors following a CAF disciplinary sanction imposed on the Moroccan side.
The return leg is scheduled for Saturday, March 21, at 9:00 PM Cairo time (7:00 PM GMT) at the Air Defense Stadium in Egypt, setting up what promises to be a decisive second meeting between the two sides.
Pyramids FC, the reigning CAF Champions League holders, advanced to the quarter-finals after topping Group A with an impressive 16 points, underlining their status as one of the tournament’s strongest contenders.
Meanwhile, AS FAR secured qualification as runners-up in Group B with nine points, finishing behind Egyptian giants Al Ahly, who topped the group with 10 points.
