FCB Nyasa Big Bullets coach Peter Mponda has vowed to dominate and beat Moyale Barracks on Wednesday.

The TNM Super League game at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre presents the People's Team an opportunity to reclaim top spot they surrendered to rivals Mighty Wanderers over the weekend.

The Nomads took advantage of Bullets' involvement in the Airtel Top 8 semifinal against Karonga United to go top after edging Dedza Dynamos 2-0.

Ahead of the game, Mponda stressed the importance of his side making use of home ground advantage.

"We are playing at Kamuzu Stadium and our goal is to dominate and win," he said.

"We are not stressing about the log table. The boys are playing good football and enjoying themselves ---that is the most important thing."

The 17-time league champions return to action barely three days after facing Karonga United in the Airtel Top 8 semifinal over the weekend.

The Bullets coach acknowledged the physical toll such a schedule could have on his side but insisted they would cope with it.

"It is true the games are coming thick and fast but we have a good squad and depth to manage that. Every team is dealing with the same schedule so there is no reason to complain. We just have to take it one game at a time," he said.

"Moyale are a strong side. Yes, their recent results haven't gone their way, but they remain a solid team."

Bullets will be without midfielder Chrispin Mapemba who remains sidelined by an injury while defenders Dominic Musonda and

Chikumbutso Henderson are yet to return to full fitness.

Moyale, the Malawi Defence Force-owned team, had a minor setback heading the game as their team bus was involved in an accident on Tuesday

However, there were no injuries and the team proceeded to Blantyre from.the Northern Region City of Mzuzu.

"Moyale Barracks Football Club survived a frightening moment on Monday when their bus lost control due to brake failure near Jenda Trading Centre," the club’s statement reads.

"The team is en route to Blantyre for their TNM Super League clash against FCB Nyasa Big Bullets on Wednesday at Kamuzu Stadium. Thankfully, no one was injured. We thank God for His protection as the journey continues."

The team arranged alternative transport to complete the trip.
