Coach Bob Mpinganjira praised his ten-man Mighty Wanderers for bouncing back to take a point on the road against Karonga United in a TNM Super League match on Sunday.

The draw saw the Nomads miss a chance to leapfrog rivals FCB Nyasa Big Bullets from the summit of the 16-member log table. However, Mpinganjira chose to see the brighter side of the game, saying things could have been worse had his charges not shown mental character after being reduced to ten men.

Defender Peter Cholopi was dismissed for fouling his opponent at Karonga Stadium. The hosts earned a penalty from the incident to level matters through Alfred Chizinga, who canceled out Gaddie Chirwa's 27th-minute goal.

Bullets, the 17-time league champions, still lead the log table by a point ahead of second-placed Wanderers. In other results, Ekhaya FC's fine run continued with a goalless draw against Dedza Dynamos on Saturday to remain in third place.

Elsewhere on Saturday, Elia Kananji registered his first win in his third attempt as Creck Sporting Club coach, edging Moyale Barracks 1-0, while Mafco FC thrashed struggling Mighty Tigers FC 3-1.
