Nigeria international, Tolu Arokodare is hoping to score more goals for new club, Wolverhampton Wanderers in the ongoing English Premier League season.
The 24-year-old joined Wolves from Belgium side, Genk in a deal reported to be in the region of £24 million.
The Super Eagles forward enjoyed a standout campaign last season, scoring 23 goals and providing seven assists in 43 appearances, finishing as the Jupiler Pro League’s joint-top scorer as Genk secured third place.
He said: “I think I will fit in pretty good because for example if you look at the strikers that we have now, I mean we are almost like the same profile, same height and everything,” Arokodare told the club’s media.
“So I think it would be difficult for me to adapt and as a team that likes to play with strikers, you can see last season’s performance, I’m just here to compliment and help the team.
“Hopefully I can get to play more games and I hope I can get back to my scoring form.”
Arokodare has been named alongside Victor Osimhen, Ademola Lookman, Samuel Chukwueze, Moses Simon, and Cyriel Dessers for Nigeria’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and South Africa.
Super Eagles will host Rwanda at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo on September 6, before traveling to Bloemfontein as guests of South Africa on September 9.
