Tottenham Hotspur confirm Mohammed Kudus injury

English Premier League club, Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed the injury to Ghana international, Mohammed Kudus.

The 25-year-old was sidelined since January after being pulled off with a thigh injury in the 1-1 draw against Sunderland.

Kudus returned to team training this month but the forward suffered a fresh injury to his hamstring, prompting further examination.

Earlier reports indicated that, the former Nordsjaelland forward may require surgery to correct the injury which could potentially rule him out of the season and the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the summer.

The Right to Dream Academy graduate joined Tottenham Hotspur from West Ham United in a six-year deal worth £55m last year.

Tough World Cup journey for Ghana

His absence will be a big blow for the Black Stars, who have qualified for their fifth World Cup and will kick off their group L campaign against Panama on June 18 before playing European sides England and Croatia.

Kudus, whose European journey started from Danish club Nordsjaelland, has scored three goals and registered five assists in 19 appearances this season.

Spurs currently sit 17th in the Premier League and just one point above West Ham, who are in the relegation zone.
