TP Mazembe coach Lamine Ndiaye says his side should be prepared to suffer when they kick off the Democratic Republic of the Congo’s Ligue National Championship Play-Offs against Don Bosco on Wednesday, April 23, 2025.

He cited tough opponents and travel challenges that Mazembe must endure during the first leg matches of the play-offs involving teams from streams A and B.

“We know it will be busy between matches and trips, the teams will suffer. All the teams are in the same boat. It is going to get tougher with the top six from each group,” he told the Mazembe website.

The game was scheduled for April 24, 2025, but it was brought forward by a day. The second game for TP Mazembe will be against DCMP in Kinshasa on April 27, 2025, at the Stade des Martyrs. This will be followed by the Lushois derby between TP Mazembe and FC Lupopo scheduled for the Stade Mazembe on May 8, 2025.

The play-offs involve group A teams namely Mazembe, FC St Eloi Lupopo, SM Sanga Balende, AS Simba, FC Tanganyika and CS Don Bosco. The other participants are from pool B, comprising leaders AS Maniema Union, FC Les Aigles Du Congo, FC Rangers, AS VClub, AF Anges Verts and DCMP.
