TP Mazembe eyes revenge over FC Saint-Éloi Lupopo

TP Mazembe will be motivated by revenge when they face FC Saint-Éloi Lupopo in a Lubumbashi derby of the Democratic Republic of the Congo on Sunday.

In a statement, the Ravens say they will enter TP Mazembe Stadium determined to atone for the 2-1 defeat they suffered at the hands of the Linafoot Ligue 1 city rivals on November 2, 2025.

The Ravens have been at the Futuka Training Center (CEF) since Friday, March 6th, preparing for the derby against their eternal rivals, FC Saint-Éloi Lupopo.

“On that day, the Ravens dominated the match before seeing the three points slip away: an equalizer, then a crushing blow. Final score 2-1, on Sunday, November 2nd, 2025. A defeat that still sticks in the craw of the Black and Whites,” reads the statement.

“Since then, the focus has shifted from regrets to revenge. In the calm of the Futuka CEF [training venue], eyes are closed, words are few, and the work is intense. The scent of the derby already hangs in the air of Lubumbashi.”
