Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet, star of Al Ahly and Egypt national team, reached a historic milestone after scoring his 100th career goal at club level during his side’s match against Al Mokawloon Al Arab SC in the Nile Egyptian League on Thursday evening.
Al Ahly bea Arab Contractors 3-1 away from home in the 21st round of the league competition.
Trezeguet opened the scoring in the 35th minute after a well-worked attacking move. The play started with a pass from Youssef Belaamari that slipped past the defense and reached Emam Ashour, who delivered a cross into the box. Trezeguet met the ball with a header that beat goalkeeper and found the back of the net.
With this goal, Trezeguet officially reached 100 goals in his club career in official competitions.
The Egyptian international returned to Al Ahly in June 2025 after a journey abroad that lasted 10 years, during which he played for several clubs in Europe and the Middle East.
Trezeguet also had a stint with R.S.C. Anderlecht in Belgium, though he did not score in official matches during his time with the Belgian club, according to statistics from Transfermarkt.
