Nigerian defender William Troost-Ekong delivered a goal to participate in Al Ahli Doha’s commanding 4-1 comeback win over Al Gharafa in Round 19 of the Qatar Stars League.

Al Gharafa took the lead in the 28th minute through Algerian star Yacine Brahimi, who converted a penalty to give his side a first-half advantage.

Al Ahli responded immediately after the break, with Younis Abdelrahman leveling the score just one minute into the second half (46’). The momentum then shifted completely in favor of the away side.

Troost-Ekong stepped up in the 59th minute, turning in a cross to give Al Ahli the lead.

The hosts continued their attacking push, adding a third goal through Michel Vlap from the penalty spot in the 87th minute, before Younis Abdelrahman sealed the victory with his second goal deep into stoppage time (90+6).

With this important win, Al Ahli Doha move up to 19 points, climbing to 10th place in the league standings. Meanwhile, Al Gharafa remain on 34 points in third place, missing a key opportunity to strengthen their position near the top.
