Tunde Sanni confirms no pressure ahead of Federation Cup final

Kwara United coach Tunde Sanni affirms that he is not under any pressure to win the 2025 President Federation Cup final against Abakaliki FC on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos.

The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side Kwara United are entering their maiden final of the tournament for the first time in their history.

Sanni in a pre-match interview expressed confidence in his team’s to beat their opponent as he is said he wants to rewrite his wrong as a player and win the the cup with Kwara United.

“I am not under any pressure. My team is battleready mentally and physically. The boys are in great shape and know what is at stake.

We never won this trophy during my playing days, but now as the coach, I want to do it for Kwara. This is our time.”

Also Kwara United captain, Kabir Mohammed also assured the fans on the the team is ready for the game.

“There are no injury worries in camp. Everyone is focused, and we are going into the match with 100% attention and determination to bring the trophy home,” he declared.

The last time Nigeria National League (NNL) side first locked horns with an NPFL side in the finals of the President Federation Cup was in the 2024 finals where then El-Kanemi Warriors won Abia Warriors 2-0.
