Round 9 of the 2024-25 Tunisia Ligue 1 Professionnelle was completed on Sunday and there is a new leader at the top of the table. Club Africain moved into first place with a dominant 4-2 victory over AS Soliman on Saturday. Former TP Mazembe star Phillippe Kinzumbi scored twice for CA who remain undefeated with a second consecutive victory.

For Tunisian giants Étoile du Sahel, the results have been poor this season but ESS earned a confidence boosting victory over ES Zarzis. The surprise leaders were knocked off their perch by an outstanding comeback from visitors ESS who scored three goals without response in a 3-2 result. Firas Chaouat and Yassine Chamakhi were among the scorers for ESS who move into 10th position on 11 points.

US Monastir moved level with Zarzis in 2nd place after defeating Olympique Béja 3-1 away from home. Ahmed Jafeli scored twice for USM who are finding success with the use of domestic players this season like Jafeli and Hazem Mastouri. Also winning were CS Sfaxien and Stade Tunisien.
