The Tunisian Football Federation (FTF) has confirmed that all visa applications submitted for the national team’s players were approved without any exceptions, denying reports that the French embassy rejected any requests.
The Carthage Eagles were set to travel to Paris ahead of their friendly match against Brazil, part of Tunisia’s preparations for upcoming competitions, most notably the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
In an official statement released via its media channels, the FTF clarified that every visa application it submitted was granted, and that no request was denied by the French embassy. The federation explained that the absence of certain players is due to the fact that no visa applications were filed for them, in line with the technical staff’s selections for the match.
The eight players who will miss the trip to France are: Mohamed Amine Ben Hamida, Ali Maâloul, Hamza Jelassi, Chihab Jebali, Oussama Haddadi, Mahmoud Gharbal, Issam Jebali, and Mohamed Ben Ali.
