Following the exit of Tusker coach Charles Okere, the Kenyan Premier League outfit have confirmed the arrival of three new signings, goalkeeper Pavelh Ndzila, left back Servel Akouala and striker Selasie Bless Bakai.
According to the club, the three players have all signed short-term contracts until the end of the season. The trio will boost the team’s campaign as the Brewers look to finish the 2025-26 season with a trophy.

Ndzila and Akouala are both from Congo Brazzaville, while Akai is a Ghanaian.
Speaking after signing the players, Tusker CEO Sam Nzau said: “We are delighted to add these three players of international experience to the team and we are confident their presence can ignite improved performances.
“We have had a difficult season and hopefully we can turn things around in the second leg. We needed to bring in experience to add steel to the squad.”
Ndzila has been signed from Rwandese side Rayon Sports while Akouala arrives from Algerian outfit US Biskra. Akai arrives from Beninese club Dadje FC where he was the top scorer last season.
“I am delighted to be at Tusker and my ambition is to help the team rise from where it is currently. A striker is expected to score goals and that is my ambition for the team, during the time I will be here,” Bakai, who has also played for his home country side Hearts of Oak said.
Goalkeeper Ndzila is not new to the East African region, having played in Rwanda with Rayon Sports and their rivals APR. He also played for the Congo Brazzaville U-20 team, and was a starter for champions AS Otoho d’Oyo.
He comes back to Kenya for the second time, having played against Gor Mahia during the 2018 CAF Confederation Cup campaign. “I have good memories of this place and I want to create more. It is an honour to join Tusker and I am looking forward to helping the team,” said the keeper.
Ndzila is a two-time goalkeeper of the year in the Rwandese Premier League, and was also named the CECAFA Kagame Cup goalkeeper of the year in 2024.
Leftback Akouala, 22, is keen to make an imprint in his first sojourn in the region, having played in Algeria straight from his native Brazzaville. “I am excited to be here, and I look forward to the challenge ahead. It is a new country with new challenges, but I look forward to enjoying the journey,” he said.
The trio already had their first training session with the team on Monday and will be assessed by the coaching team over the next few days to ascertain whether they will be ready for the weekend match against Shabana FC.
Kenyan Premier League side Tusker FC have wasted no time reinforcing their squad following the departure of head coach Charles Okere. The Brewers have confirmed the arrival of three new signings — goalkeeper Pavelh Ndzila, left-back Servel Akouala, and striker Selasie Bless Bakai.
The trio have all signed short-term deals that will run until the end of the 2025–26 season as Tusker aim to revive their campaign and push for silverware.
After a challenging first half of the season, Tusker FC new signings are expected to bring experience, stability, and firepower to a side currently looking to climb the league table.
Tusker CEO Sam Nzau expressed optimism about the club’s latest additions.
“We are delighted to add these three players of international experience to the team and we are confident their presence can ignite improved performances,” said Nzau.
“We have had a difficult season and hopefully we can turn things around in the second leg. We needed to bring in experience to add steel to the squad.”
The Brewers are hoping the three reinforcements will provide immediate impact as they push for a strong finish.
Goalkeeper Pavelh Ndzila joins Tusker from Rwandese giants Rayon Sports. The Congolese international is no stranger to East African football, having previously featured in Rwanda with both Rayon Sports and APR.
Ndzila also has experience with Congo Brazzaville’s U-20 national team and was a key player for champions AS Otoho d’Oyo.

The goalkeeper is returning to Kenya for the second time after previously facing Gor Mahia in the 2018 CAF Confederation Cup.
“I have good memories of this place and I want to create more. It is an honour to join Tusker and I am looking forward to helping the team,” said Ndzila.
His leadership and shot-stopping pedigree could prove crucial for a Tusker side seeking defensive stability.
Left-back Servel Akouala, 22, arrives from Algerian outfit US Biskra. The Congolese defender made the move to North Africa straight from Brazzaville and now embarks on his first stint in East African football.
Akouala brings youthful energy and tactical discipline to Tusker’s defensive ranks.
“I am excited to be here, and I look forward to the challenge ahead. It is a new country with new challenges, but I look forward to enjoying the journey,” he said.
With Tusker conceding goals at key moments this season, Akouala’s arrival could provide much-needed solidity on the left flank.
Perhaps the most exciting of the Tusker FC new signings is Ghanaian striker Selasie Bless Bakai.
Bakai joins from Beninese club Dadje FC, where he finished as the top scorer last season. He has also previously featured for Ghanaian giants Hearts of Oak.
Tusker fans welcomed his arrival with humor on social media, referencing the famous Ghanaian jollof rice debate — but the striker’s focus is firmly on goals.
“I am delighted to be at Tusker and my ambition is to help the team rise from where it is currently. A striker is expected to score goals and that is my ambition for the team, during the time I will be here,” Bakai stated.
With Tusker struggling for consistency in front of goal, Bakai’s finishing ability could prove decisive in the second half of the campaign.
Tusker have endured a turbulent season, highlighted by:
The recent departure of head coach Charles Okere
Inconsistent performances in the league
A need for experienced reinforcements
The new trio have already completed their first training session with the squad and will be assessed ahead of the weekend clash against Shabana FC.
If cleared to feature, they could make their debuts in what promises to be a crucial fixture.
While Tusker may not be leading the title race, the club remains determined to compete strongly in the second leg of the season.
The Tusker FC new signings signal intent from management to:
Stabilize the defense (Ndzila & Akouala)
Boost attacking output (Bakai)
Restore confidence within the squad
Short-term contracts suggest the club is focused on immediate impact, but strong performances could open the door to extended stays.
The arrival of Pavelh Ndzila, Servel Akouala, and Selasie Bless Bakai marks a new chapter for Tusker FC following Charles Okere’s exit.
Experience, youth, and attacking instinct have been added to a side eager to rediscover its competitive edge. Whether these Tusker FC new signings can transform the Brewers’ fortunes will become clearer in the coming weeks — starting with the Shabana FC test.
