U-17 AFCON Qualifying: Draw unveiled for WAFU-B zone tournament

The draw was held on Thursday for the U17 WAFU-B qualifying tournament for the U-17 Africa Cup of Nations (U-17 AFCON), scheduled to take place in Yamoussoukro from September 20 to October 3. Seven teams will compete, as usual, for one of the two spots at stake for the U-17 AFCON.

Host nation Côte d’Ivoire, runners-up of the last edition held in Ghana, will play in Group A alongside Niger, Togo, and Ghana. Group B includes defending champions Burkina Faso, Benin, and Nigeria.

The competition will feature a group stage, followed by semifinals and a final. The two finalists will represent the WAFU-B zone at the next U17 AFCON.

The tournament kicks off on September 20 in Yamoussoukro.
