Udinese head coach Kosta Runjaic confirmed that goalkeeper Maduka Okoye will be available for Monday’s Serie A clash with Como.
The Nigerian picked up a thigh injury while on international duty with the Super Eagles last week, leading to concerns that Okoye might be ruled out for an extended period.
Runjaic dismissed fears of Okoye’s injury in an update provided via the club’s official website. He confirmed that while two players remain sidelined, the goalkeeper is fit to play.
“Except for Zemura, Buksa and Zanoli, everyone is available. Today we finally trained with the full squad after the international break. Buksa is improving and I hope he’ll be partially back with the squad next week.”
The club from Italy’s northeast enters the match with a strong record, remaining unbeaten in their last ten home Serie A matches against Como (seven wins and three draws). However, they will face a resilient side that is currently unbeaten in their last six games.
