Guinea national team and Borussia Dortmund striker Serhou Guirassy did not add to his immense goal total in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday but his contribution was still significant for Dortmund.

The goal machine remained dangerous in Dortmund's 2-1 second leg victory at Lille, a result that qualified the German club for the quarterfinals with a 3-2 aggregate score. After falling behind early to a Jonathan David goal, Dortmund came to life after halftime with Guirassy drawing a penalty kick that Emre Can successfully converted.

With the aggregate score now tied 2-2, Dortmund continued to build on their second half momentum and it was Guirassy who provided the assist on the goal that would be the match and series winner. After collecting the ball and moving to the left wing, the former Stuttgart star passed to Maximilian Beier who fired in the crucial goal.

Guriassy is no longer the leading scorer in the Champions League after Raphinha's two-goal performance for Barcelona against Benfica on Tuesday. However, the Guinean's contributions kept his team in the competition and he can wrestle back the title of top scorer when Dortmund face Barcelona in the quarterfinals.

The first leg will be on April 8 at the Camp Nou before the teams meet again a week later. Guirassy now has 10 goals and 4 assists in 12 Champions League matches.
