Uganda Cup: Quarterfinal draw set for Thursday as eight teams eye last four spots

The FUFA Competitions Department has officially confirmed the date for the highly anticipated quarterfinal draw of the Stanbic Uganda Cup.

According to the announcement, the draw will take place on Thursday, 26th March 2026, at the Plascon Headquarters, one of the competition’s key sponsors.

The event is scheduled to begin at 9:00 AM, setting the stage for the next phase of Uganda’s premier knockout tournament.

A competitive lineup of eight teams has successfully progressed to the quarterfinal stage, featuring seven sides from the Uganda Premier League and one spirited entrant from the regional leagues.

The teams include Buganda Regional League outfit Happy Boys, who continue to fly the flag for lower-division football, alongside topflight clubs KCCA FC, Vipers SC, SC Villa, URA FC, NEC FC, Express FC, and Kitara FC.

The quarterfinal ties will be played on a single-leg basis, raising the stakes for all contenders.

In the event of a draw after normal time, matches will be decided via a penalty shootout, ensuring a definitive outcome on the day.

Fixtures for the quarterfinals are scheduled to be played between 4th and 5th April 2026, with teams now eagerly awaiting the draw to discover their path to the semifinals.
