The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has confirmed the final 32-player squad for the Uganda U20 Women’s National Team, the Queen Cranes, ahead of their upcoming FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup Qualifier doubleheader against Namibia.

The matches are scheduled for 19th and 22nd September 2025, with Uganda keen to take a positive step towards qualifying for the prestigious global tournament.

The team, under the guidance of head coach Sheryl Ulanda Botes, has officially started camp at FUFA Hotel, Kisasi, where preparations will intensify in readiness for the crucial encounters.

The Queen Cranes have steadily grown in stature on the continent, with many of the players graduating from Uganda’s successful U17 and U20 setups. This squad combines school-based talents with those featuring for established Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women Super League sides like Kampala Queens, Kawempe Muslim, St. Noa Girls, UCU Lady Cardinals, and She Corporate FC.

Head coach Botes will be tasked with blending the youthful exuberance and competitive spirit within the camp to ensure Uganda maximizes its chances in the two-legged qualifier.

The first leg will be played on 19th September, before the return leg on 22nd September, with the aggregate winner advancing to the next round of qualifiers for the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup.
