The fixture will take place on November 18 in Tangier according to an announcement made by the official Morocco national team account, which also confirmed another friendly against Mozambique.
While FUFA is yet to issue an official statement, the encounter will serve as a crucial test for the Cranes as they fine-tune their readiness for the continental showpiece to be hosted by the North African nation.
For the Cranes, the game provides an ideal chance to gauge their strength against one of Africa’s elite teams and to adapt to the conditions they will face during the tournament. There are also reports suggesting that another friendly may be scheduled during the November FIFA window with Chad emerging as a potential opponent.
The Cranes have been drawn in a challenging Group C that includes Nigeria, Tunisia, and Tanzania, with the tournament scheduled to kick off on December 21. They kick off their tournament on 23 December against Tunisia at the Prince Moulay Abdullah Stadium in Rabat.
