Uganda Premier League: Express, Wakiso Giants lock horns in crucial match day 18 finale

The StarTimes Uganda Premier League match day 18 concludes with a high-stakes showdown as Express FC hosts Wakiso Giants at Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo.

Both sides are desperate for a turnaround in fortunes, with Express FC struggling in the second round after consecutive losses to BUL FC and SC Villa, as well as a shock Uganda Cup exit at the hands of lower-league side Total FC.

The Red Eagles, currently 6th with 25 points, are eager to bounce back and reignite their top-four ambitions. Meanwhile, Wakiso Giants are enduring a torrid campaign, sitting third from bottom with just 13 points.

The Purple Sharks have not won a league match since match day three and trail 13th-placed Police FC by seven points in the battle for safety.

Their previous encounter this season ended in a goalless draw, while Wakiso Giants edged last season’s corresponding fixture at Muteesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku.
