URA FC has been handed a boost with the return of promising left-back Shafiq Lugoloobi, who resumed training on Tuesday morning after three months out with injury.

The former Ntungasaz defender sustained the setback during training in early December and later underwent successful surgery.

After months of rehabilitation, he made his first appearance back in training, engaging in light drills and individual running as he builds towards full fitness.

“I feel happy to be back, and I pray for a full comeback. I am now much better, and I want to thank the club management, doctors, technical team, my teammates, and my family for the support and love since I got injured. I really can’t wait to get started,” Lugoloobi told URA FC media.

His focus now shifts to regaining match fitness as he looks to compete for a spot in coach Alex Isabirye’s squad for the remainder of the season.
