Former KCCA FC star Muzamiru Mutyaba came back to haunt his old side, scoring the lone goal as NEC FC triumphed 1-0 at the MTN Omondi Stadium, ending KCCA’s eight-match unbeaten run in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.
Mutyaba’s 20th-minute strike crafted by a delightful assist from another former KCCA player Paul Mucureezi propelled NEC to the top of the league standings. This was the first loss of the season for KCCA who now drop to second with 18 points, one behind NEC's 19 after nine matches.

NEC’s victory underscores their solid campaign with six wins so far while KCCA coach Abdallah Mubiru acknowledged the setback and vowing to recover swiftly: "We had a setback, but no one is to blame. They had one chance, took it, and luck was on their side. We need to focus on the next game.”
In Kavumba, Maroons FC secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Soltilo Bright Stars. Nicholas Kigozi's 73rd-minute direct free kick proved decisive lifting Maroons to seventh place with 12 points. Bright Stars remain mired in the relegation zone with just six points.

At Lugazi stadium, BUL FC and Express FC played out a dramatic 1-1 draw. Walter Ochora put BUL ahead in the 42nd minute but Express's Samuel Ssenyonjo rescued a point with a last-minute equalizer to take his season tally to five goals.
