Uganda Premier League leaders Vipers SC will look to extend their advantage at the top of the table when they host UPDF FC at St Mary’s Stadium in Kitende on Tuesday.

The Venoms, who are unbeaten at home this season, will be favourites to see off the army side, who squandered a two-goal lead in their 2–2 draw with Express last time they met.

In what could be a decisive week in the title race, victory for Vipers will see them go eight points clear of second-placed NEC, who travel to Mbarara City on Wednesday.

UPDF, currently mid-table, will be eyeing a leap into the top half of the standings if they can pull off a rare win in Kitende. That being said, no team has defeated Vipers there this season.

Elsewhere, third-placed BUL FC, the only unbeaten team in the second round, will welcome newly promoted Lugazi FC to the Fufa Technical Centre in Njeru. Currently on 46 points, BUL won the reverse fixture 2-1 in Lugazi, and they will be aiming to complete the double over a side that sits 11th with 31 points.

At the MTN Omondi Stadium in Lugogo, KCCA FC return to action seeking back-to-back wins, having edged Mbarara City 1-0 in their previous match. They face Police FC, who are enjoying a resurgence under interim coach Matia Lule and remain unbeaten since his appointment.

KCCA are currently sixth with 37 points, tied with Kitara and SC Villa, who return to action on Wednesday. The reverse fixture between KCCA and Police ended goalless at Kavumba.
