Following the international break that witnessed Uganda qualify for the 2025 AFCON tournament in Morocco, the majority of the foreign based players returned to their respective clubs for business as well as those foreign based players who weren’t summoned.

Ronald Lusulire followed some of them to find out how they fared!

Tunisia

Defender Kenneth Semakula was an unused substitute as his Club Africaine club defeated Soliman 4-2 at home in the Tunisian Premier League.

Cyprus

Bevis Mugabi was an unused substitute as his Famagusta Anorthosis side defeated Enosis 3-2 at home. They currently sit in 7th place on 14 points from 11 games.

Macedonia

Rogers Mato was in the starting XI as his Brera Strumica side drew 1-1 against Struga in the Marcedonia premier league to move on 16points in 8th place from 15 games.

Still in Marcedonia, midfielder Shafiq Kagimu wasn’t in the match day squad as his FK Rabotnicki defeated Besa Doberdoll 4-1 to move to 4th place on 28 points from 15 games.

Czech Republic

Left back Aziz Kayondo wasn’t in the match day squad as his Slovan Liberec beat Sigma Olomouc 4-1 on the road to move to 7th place on 20 points from 15 games in the premier league.

France

Travis Mutyaba came on in the 74th minute for Ivorian Trazie Thomas as his Bordeaux side drew 1-1 on the road against US Saint Malo.

Tanzania

Steven Mukwala’s Simba moved on top for the table as his Simba SC side defeated Pamba Jiji 1-0 on the road. Mukwala was on the bench.

Scotland

Right back Elvis Bwomono played fulltime as his St Mirren side defeated Aberdeen 2-1 in the Scottish Premier League.

South Africa

Goalkeeper Denis Onyango was an unused substitute as his Mamelodi Sundowns side lost 2-1 against Magesi FC in the Carling Black label final.

Rwanda

Midfielder Taddeo Lwanga wasn’t in the match day squad as he returned late from national duty when his APR FC side defeated Muhazi United 2-1 in the Rwanda Premier League.
