Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club (KCCA FC) has confirmed the acquisition of explosive winger Rogers Mugisha, securing his signature on a three-year contract that runs until the end of the 2027/28 season.

The 22-year-old, a former Uganda U17 and U20 international, is widely admired for his searing pace, trickery, and ability to torment defenders. Mugisha rose to prominence during the 2021 U20 Africa Cup of Nations, where his eye-catching performances earned him a place in the Team of the Tournament, cementing his status as one of the brightest young talents in Ugandan football.

Player’s Delight
Speaking after completing the move, Mugisha expressed joy at joining the 13-time Uganda Premier League champions.

“Signing for KCCA FC is a dream come true. This is one of the biggest clubs in the country. I am ready to give my all for the badge. I know the expectations are high, but I am confident in my abilities and look forward to contributing to the team’s success.”

Coach’s Thoughts
KCCA FC co-Head Coach Brian Ssenyondo welcomed the winger, emphasizing how well he suits the club’s attacking approach.

“We are happy to have Rogers on board. He is a player we have been monitoring for a while. His speed and directness on the wing will add a new dimension to our attack. He fits perfectly with our philosophy of playing an exciting, attacking brand of football. We believe he has the potential to become a key player for us.”

Fifth Major Signing

Mugisha becomes the fifth notable addition for the Cityzens in the current transfer window, following Ivan Ahimbisibwe, Herbert Achayi, Lazaro Muhindo, and Enock Walusimbi.
