Umar Sadiq found the back of the net to secure Valencia’s 2-0 away victory in the Valencian derby over Levante in matchday 24 of the Spanish La Liga on Sunday.
The high-stakes clash, played at the Ciutat de València, witnessed a fluid first half with both sides looking to break each other down without finding the net.
Action in the second half followed suit until Carlos Corberán turned to his bench in the 59th minute, introducing Umar for Hugo Duro to provide a fresh physical presence. The tactical switch paid off as the visitors found the lead through a powerful strike from Largie Ramazani in the 64th minute.
Levante attempted to claw their way back into the game, but Valencia’s defensive organization remained resolute.
In the 84th minute, Umar capitalized on the hosts’ attacking focus, taking the Levante defense on a sprint before lacing the ball into the top corner in a one-on-one with the goalkeeper.

The victory places Valencia CF in 14th place, moving them further from the relegation zone as they prepare to face their local rivals, Villarreal CF.
This is Umar’s first strike since returning to Valencia on a permanent deal in January 2026.
