Match Day 21 of the 2025/26
Uganda Premier League rolls on this Saturday with several intriguing fixtures across the country as title hopefuls and relegation battlers all fight for crucial points.
Defending champions Vipers SC headline the evening action when they welcome bottom-placed Calvary FC under the floodlights at St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende. The Venoms return home knowing victory is essential to restore breathing space at the summit after Kitara FC boosted their own title ambitions with a commanding 4-0 derby win on Friday.
League leaders
Vipers currently sit on 47 points and will expect to strengthen their grip against a struggling Calvary side still searching for their first league victory of the campaign and rooted to the bottom with just five points.
Earlier in the day, attention shifts to Najjembe Stadium, where in-form KCCA FC travel to face Lugazi FC.
The Kasasiro Boys have found momentum at the right time, winning four matches in a row to move within five points of the summit in third place. Lugazi, however, enter the contest desperate to halt a worrying slide after three consecutive defeats that have dragged them into the relegation conversation.
Another pivotal encounter unfolds at Fisheries Training Institute Grounds, Bugonga, where record champions SC Villa visit stubborn hosts Entebbe UPPC. With Villa currently fourth on 38 points and Entebbe just two points behind, the clash could heavily influence both sides’ ambitions at the top end of the table. Their first-round meeting finished 1–1 in Kadiba.
Elsewhere, security sides Maroons FC and UPDF FC square off at the Prisons Grounds, Luzira. UPDF enter the contest under pressure as they sit second from bottom on 13 points and desperately need results to keep survival hopes alive.
The day’s action concludes with the Nakivubo derby under the lights as Express FC host URA FC at Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo. Express will have to cope without suspended captain Murushid Juuko Mbaziira in defence, while Hussein Mbalangu’s side chase a third victory in four outings.
URA arrive placed 10th on the log with 22 points, narrowly ahead of Express who occupy 11th with 20, adding extra significance to a clash that could shape the mid-table standings.
