BUL had taken charge of the contest when George Kasonko pounced decisively in the 37th minute, capitalising on KCCA’s hesitation from a corner to guide the ball home from close range.
The hosts protected their advantage going into the break, leaving KCCA with questions to answer.
But the second half saw a rejuvenated KCCA side return with purpose. Their intensity paid off in the 57th minute when Lazaro Muhindo’s teasing delivery unsettled goalkeeper Tom Ikara, who spilled the ball into the path of Sammy Ssebaduka. The winger made no mistake, sweeping home the equaliser to restore belief for the visitors.
With momentum fully shifting, KCCA continued to apply pressure, probing BUL’s backline in search of a winner. Their persistence was finally rewarded deep into added time when Alex Yiga produced a stunning late strike sparking wild celebrations and sealing a dramatic comeback.
The victory lifts KCCA to 20 points, now three clear of Vipers, SC Villa and Police, who sit jointly on 17.
For BUL, the late collapse leaves them 11th on 10 points, still searching for consistency.
Yiga’s decisive moment not only secured maximum points but also earned him the man of the match gong as well as underlining KCCA’s growing title credentials as they continue to set the pace in this season’s campaign.
