He joins the Entebbe-based outfit as a free agent after parting ways with KCCA FC last month.
Poloto’s exit from Lugogo came through a mutual agreement with his former club, bringing an end to a spell that saw him lift two league titles (2017, 2019) and two Uganda Cups (2017, 2018). Notably, he scored the decisive goal that sealed KCCA’s Uganda Cup triumph in 2018.
At UPPC, Poloto will reunite with head coach Abdallah Mubiru, who has already lured several familiar faces including defenders Mustafa Mujuzi and Isa Mubiru, plus midfielder Steven Munguchi.
The former KCCA star becomes the ninth addition to Mubiru’s squad, following in the footsteps of John Kokas, Noordin Bunjo, Rogers Omedwa, Hassan Ssenyonjo, and Steven Munguchi, among others. His arrival is expected to inject experience and attacking flair into the club’s debut topflight campaign.
