URA FC bolster technical bench with Edward Golola appointment

URA FC have added significant experience to their technical setup with the appointment of Edward Golola as first assistant coach under head coach Alex Isabirye ahead of the new season.

Golola, a respected figure in Ugandan football, brings a wealth of coaching knowledge. He holds a UEFA coaching license from Germany, a CAF B license, and a Youth Coaching Certificate.

His most notable spells came at Vipers SC, where he guided the club to the 2008 Uganda Premier League crown, repeated the success in the 2009/10 season, and later lifted the Uganda Cup in 2016. In addition, he was named Azam Premier League Best Manager of the Year in 2014/15 before leading Vipers to the Pilsner Super 8 title in 2017/18.

Known for both silverware success and talent development, Golola’s arrival is expected to perfectly complement Isabirye’s leadership as URA FC prepare to mount a strong challenge for honors this season.
