URA FC confirm mutual departure of head coach Alex Isabirye

URA Football Club has officially announced that Head Coach Alex Isabirye has left his role by mutual consent.

The decision follows a challenging start to the 2025/26 Uganda Premier League season, where the team registered five draws, one win, and one loss in the opening seven fixtures.

Coach Isabirye departs alongside members of his technical team, including Assistant Coaches Richard Kasule, Crespo Asiku, and Goalkeeping Coach Damba Jamil.

Appointed in May 2023 after a commendable spell at Express FC, Isabirye brought a reputation for assembling competitive and resilient sides. During his tenure, he managed 36 matches, recording 17 victories, 9 draws, and 10 defeats. URA FC currently stands 11th on the league table with eight points.

In the interim, Edward Golola will take charge of the team as preparations continue for the Match Day 8 fixture against Buhimba Saints on Wednesday, 26th November at Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo. The club will announce its new head coach and technical team in due course.

URA FC extends its appreciation to Coach Isabirye, Kasule, Asiku, and Damba for their dedicated service and wishes them every success in their future endeavours.
