URA FC captain Moses Aliro beams with pride after Uganda call-up

URA FC skipper Moses Aliro Okabo has expressed his delight after being summoned to the Uganda squad for two high-profile international friendly matches against Chad and Morocco, both scheduled to be played in Morocco on November 15th and 19th, 2025, respectively.

Aliro is among the 28 players called up by Cranes Head Coach Paul Put as Uganda continues preparations for the upcoming continental assignments.

The creative forward, who has been in fine form for URA FC this season with three goals already to his name, was also the league’s leading assist provider last season—an achievement that underlines his consistency and influence for the tax collectors.

In his reaction, Aliro couldn’t hide his excitement about the national team opportunity and was quick to appreciate everyone at URA FC for their role in his continued progress.

This isn’t Aliro’s first taste of national team action. The versatile winger was part of Coach Paul Put’s squad that featured in international friendly matches against Comoros and Ghana in March 2024, also played in Morocco.

His continued inclusion in the Cranes setup is a testament to his impressive form and leadership qualities, both on and off the pitch, for URA FC this season.
