URA FC recall Bright Vuni as Entebbe UPPC loan ends

URA FC have announced the return of defender Bright Joseph Vuni after his short-lived loan move to Entebbe UPPC FC came to an early end.

The centre-back had joined the Entebbe-based side at the start of the season in search of regular minutes, but his stay under coach Abdallah Mubiru did not go as planned.

Vuni departs Entebbe UPPC without making a single competitive appearance.

Back at the Tax Collectors, the lanky and versatile defender now shifts focus to fighting for a place in the URA FC matchday squad as preparations intensify for the second round of the Uganda Premier League.

Vuni signed for URA FC ahead of the 2024/25 campaign but has endured a frustrating spell for game time.

Since his move from UPDF FC, he has featured just ten times in the league, finding opportunities limited in a highly competitive backline.

The defender brings with him experience gathered from spells at Arua Hill, Young Simba and two separate stints with UPDF FC, pedigree URA FC will hope to lean on as they seek a turnaround in form.

Currently navigating an inconsistent run under head coach Hussein Mbalangu, URA FC will next turn their attention to the Stanbic Uganda Cup. They face Patongo United in the Round of 64 on Friday, February 6, in Agago District.
