The club made the announcement in a statement on Thursday via their various social media handles:

The Sky Blue Boys are currently in the relegation zone, sitting 19th on the table; the appointment of Abd’Allah is expected to revive the team’s hopes.
Abd’Allah brings a wealth of experience, holding a UEFA Pro Licence Certification and advanced degrees in football coaching and team management from Le CREPS de Montpellier in France. He has managed football clubs across Asia and France and previously served as an assistant coach for the Super Eagles under Jose Peseiro’s technical crew.
Abd’Allah is no stranger to the league, having served as the Technical Adviser for Enyimba FC and as an assistant coach and youth team overseer at Kano Pillars FC. Under his guidance, Enyimba reached the semi-finals of the CAF Confederation Cup, narrowly losing to Morocco’s Raja Casablanca. He also led Enyimba to the NPFL title in the 2018/19 season.
The new Technical Adviser has already held his first training session with the team as they gear up to return to winning ways against Katsina United. Abd’Allah will need a near-perfect run to ensure the team avoids being one of the four sides relegated at the end of the season.
