Nigeria international Victor Boniface has committed his future to Bundesliga outfit Bayer Leverkusen ahead of the new 2025/26 season.
Despite being linked with a move away from the club this transfer window, the Super Eagle has now come out to dispel the rumours by saying his ambition was to help Leverkusen have a successful campaign by winning trophies under new manager Erik ten Hag.
“Absolutely, my future is here. From my side, it’s 100 percent clear that I’m staying,” Boniface told Bild as quoted by Allnigeriasoccer. “I have three years left on my contract, I want to win titles with Bayer, have a great season.”
While he has been linked with several clubs including AC Milan, Galatasaray, and Al-Nassr, Boniface explained: “It is what it is. The transfer didn’t happen, I’m still here. Even when things weren’t going so well for me last season, I spoke to [sporting director] Simon Rolfes and told him: I love it here.”
The 24-year-old featured 19 times for Leverkusen in Bundesliga last season scoring eight goals and providing one assist.
