Victor Boniface ruled out for Werder Bremen clash

Victor Boniface has been ruled out of German Bundesliga side Werder Bremen’s final home game of 2025 due to injury.

According to Bremen head coach Horst Steffen, Boniface is currently battling a knee contusion and will not be available for the match against VfB Stuttgart.

Steffen made this known via the club’s official handle, stating that it is not certain the Nigeria international will play again for the club in 2025.

“It happened in a challenge, knee to knee, and it really hurt. Unfortunately, the recovery hasn’t been as quick as we’d hoped. I can’t yet say whether he’ll be available for us again this year.”

The 24-year-old joined the “Green and Whites” on loan from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer and has registered 2 assists in 11 league outings for Bremen this season.

Meanwhile, Felix Agu, who earlier suffered an injury to his syndesmosis ligament, will also not be available for the match.
