His goals came against URA FC, Mbarara City, Police FC and Buhimba United Saints, a run that kept Vipers SC top of the table and still unbeaten.
Receiving the award at Molecule Restaurant on Tuesday, February 2, Watambala credited the recognition as fuel for even bigger targets ahead.
“As we push the club to continue the title defense so that we deliver Okello’s medal in Tanzania, this award is another push,” Watambala said. “I appreciate my coaches, teammates, my management and the admins at the club. They are the reason I have won this accolade, and I will keep pushing for more.”
The award, designed by Jude Colour Solutions, capped a dominant month for the midfielder, whose influence went beyond goals to control games and inspire consistent performances from the Venoms.
Usama Arafat Kiiza earned his nomination for commanding displays throughout January, while Ambrose Kigozi impressed with four goals for Entebbe UPPC FC, scoring against URA FC, Express FC, UPDF FC and KCCA FC
