ASEC Mimosas and Bayelsa Queens headline WAFU-B qualifying draw for CAF Women’s Champions League

Côte d’Ivoire will host the 5th edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League WAFU-B zonal qualifying tournament from August 23 to September 5, 2025, in Yamoussoukro. Seven clubs will represent their countries in an attempt to secure the precious ticket to the continental phase.

Seeded in Group A, ASEC Mimosas enters the competition as the 2024-2025 Côte d’Ivoire national champions. They will face AS Garde Nationale of Niger, a tournament regular with three appearances, and the Union Sportive des Forces Armées (USFA) of Burkina Faso.

In Group B, Bayelsa Queens are the favorites. They are the 2024-2025 Nigerian champions, winners of the 2022 tournament, and represented the region in the 2022 CAF Women’s Champions League. They will face Police Ladies of Ghana, AS de la Kozah (Togo), and Sam Nelly of Benin.
