The four participating nations for the 2026 women’s WAFU B Invitational Tournament, scheduled for February, have been confirmed.
Hosted by Côte d’Ivoire, the event will feature the reigning African champions, the Super Falcons of Nigeria, alongside the Black Queens of Ghana and Senegal.
This Four-Nation tournament serves as a strategic preparation for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON). It is timed to conclude just 10 days before the continental showpiece, running from Friday, February 27, to Saturday, March 7, 2026.
Following the final WAFCON draw on January 15, the teams now know their paths to glory. Senegal is in Group A with host nation Morocco, Algeria, and Kenya. WAFU B hosts Côte d’Ivoire are in Group B, where they will face South Africa, Burkina Faso, and Tanzania.
The Super Falcons headline Group C alongside Malawi, Zambia, and Egypt, while the Black Queens of Ghana have been drawn into Group D with Cameroon, Mali, and Cape Verde.
The WAFCON 2026 finals will be held in Morocco from March 17 to April 3, 2026.
