Aaron Wan-Bissaka returns as DR Congo gear up for World Cup qualifying

Desabre called largely European-based players for the decisive clash. Aaron Wan-Bissaka returns to the squad. The West Ham United right-back recently changed his allegiance to the Leopards. Brentford striker Yoane Wissa is included in the squad while involved in a transfer saga with his club. Wissa is pushing to force a move to Newcastle United.

Simon Banza and Fiston Mayele are in the squad while free agent Chancel Mbemba is the surprising inclusion. The center back and Leopards captain left Olympique de Marseille after an injury-hit season and has not found a club since his contract expired at the end of June. Desabre left out Afimico Pululu after he agreed to play for DR Congo instead of Angola. The forward is having a superb season but will have to wait after withdrawing from a previous call due to injury.

DR Congo are one point ahead of Senegal as they hope to keep their World Cup qualification dream alive.
