Newly crowned Malawi’s TNM Super League champions Mighty Wanderers have extended contracts for three key players.
The Blantyre-based side has announced the renewal of the contracts of midfielders Mphatso Kamanga, Isaac Kaliati and Daniel Kudonto junior.
The TNM Super League kings say Kamanga has extended his contract by three years until 2028.
“The midfielder has extended his stay at the club after signing a contract that will see him donning the blue jersey until December, 2028. Kamanga joined Wanderers from Karonga United in December 2022,” the club’s statement reads.
On the other hand, Kaliati has also had his stay at Wanderers renewed for two years up to 2027.
The 2024 Malawi Player of the Year joined Wanderers from Mighty Tigers in 2015. Wanderers also announced the extension of the contract for yet another midfielder, Kudonto Jnr.
“The midfielder, whose contract was set to expire in December 2026, will ply his trade at Lali Lubani
Road until December 2028. Kudonto was promoted from Wanderers Reserve to the senior team in 2024,” the statement adds.
The trio played a key role for Wanderers to claim the Super League title for the first time in eight years. The title assures Bob Mpinganjira’s men of next year’s CAF Champions League football.
