Asante Kotoko coach Prosper Narteh Ogum has urged his charges to remain focused ahead of the top liner against rivals, Hearts of Oak.

The Ghana’s two biggest clubs will revive their rivalry on Sunday, December 15 at the Baba Yara Stadium in week 13. Hearts of Oak sit 6th on the league table with 19 points, one more than Kotoko who lie 7th after 12 league games.

Despite Kotoko’s shaky performances in the ongoing season, coach Ogum believes that his side can’t overly focus on the threat of their rivals. “The focus should be us. “Sometimes when you focus too much on the (opponent), you forget about yourself and it goes to affect you," he told the club's media.

"Ours is to make sure that we get our tactics right, we get our confidence, get our confidence right, our determination, our aggression, everything right and then face them," he added.

Hearts of Oak are yet to lose a game in their last five outings with Kotoko winning just a game in six straight matches. The much anticipated has been scheduled to kick off at 15:00 GMT.
