Al Ahly striker Wessam Abou Ali has officially joined the team’s training camp in Miami, United States, as the Red Devils prepare for the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup 2025.
Abou Ali did not travel with the squad on June 4 due to his participation with the Palestine national team during the recent international break.
The forward featured in two FIFA World Cup qualifiers—scoring a penalty in a 2-0 win over Kuwait and playing in a 1-1 draw against Oman.
As a result, he missed Al Ahly’s friendly match against Mexican side Pachuca, which ended 1-1 in regular time before Pachuca triumphed 5-3 on penalties.
Al Ahly are gearing up for a challenging campaign in the Club World Cup. They are going to face Inter Miami in the opening match of the tournament, followed by clashes against Brazilian giants Palmeiras and Portuguese powerhouse FC Porto.
Al Ahly will face hosts Inter Miami on Sunday, June 15, at 12:00 AM GMT.
