Turkish Super Lig side Beşiktaş have confirmed the appointment of Nigerian midfielder Wilfred Ndidi as their new vice-captain.
The Black Eagles made the announcement on their official club Instagram page on Friday where they aligned the new leadership ranking among the players.

With the decision of our President Serdal Island and our Board of Directors, Orkun Kökçü will also assume the role of team captain, with Ndidi assisting him.
They take over the new roles from Necip Uysal and Mert Günok who occupied the leadership role in the club.
Ndidi joined Beşiktaş from Sky Bet Championship club Leicester City in the summer.
The 28-year-old has made six league appearances for the club so far.
Beşiktaş are set to face Gençlerbirliği in a Turkish Super Lig fixture on Saturday.
