Nigeria midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi, scored his first goal in the Turkish Super Lig as Besiktas secured a 2-0 away win against Konyaspor at the Medaş Konya Büyükşehir Stadyumu on Wednesday.
The crucial opening goal came in the 21st minute, with Ndidi finding the back of the net with a header from a corner kick. Beşiktaş doubled the lead with the second goal by striker Tammy Abraham in the 72nd minute. Orkun Kökçü’s pass was met by the former England international’s clinical finish.
The Black Eagles’ 2-0 win is a major boost for them as they continue their pursuit of a top spot on the table after a difficult start to the season.
Ndidi, who was just recently announced as a new vice-captain at the club, was named Man of the Match for the game.
Beşiktaş are currently sitting 6th on the Turkish Super League table and will be hoping to move up in the coming match days.
